A general dentist who is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) has been recognized by other general dentists as a leader and exemplifies to other dentists the importance of quality continuing education. To earn the FAGD a dentist must complete a minimum of 500 continuing education hours, pass a comprehensive exam and have been a member of the Academy for three continuous years.
The ICD is the world’s oldest and largest honor society for dentists. Fellowship in the college is extended by invitation only. A nominated dentist must pass a rigorous peer review process leading to the recognition as a Fellow.
